Application Lock

The Application Lock protects patient data by automatically locking SilhouetteConnect or SilhouetteCentral after inactivity, requiring the user to log on again.

Timeout Before Logon Required

The Timeout Before Logon Required defines the length of time in minutes after which Silhouette will require the user to log on again. After this time period expires with no user activity SilhouetteConnect will display a lock screen which provides the user the option to re-enter their password and resume from where they left off, or to log off losing any unsaved changes. SilhouetteCentral on the other hand will simply return the user to the log on screen automatically, losing any unsaved changes.

Note: This feature can be disabled for SilhouetteConnect by setting a timeout of 0 minutes. Note however that SilhouetteCentral will interpret 0 to mean 30 minutes, i.e. this feature can not be disabled for SilhouetteCentral.

Note: When the authentication mode Automatic sign-on only is enabled the application will not lock the screen
